All About Us
Plasticity is a nonprofit founded in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Our focus is to educate communities about non-recyclable thin plastics, the impacts they have on the environment, how to make simple lifestyle shifts on a personal level, and find ways to repurpose materials in a sustainable way.
We want to remove shame from recycling - many of us understand the importance but feel overwhelmed (in general). Let’s not only be kind to the planet but ourselves!
We won't be able to recycle all thin plastics but even a little bit makes a difference.
In addition to education and offering each other grace, we believe in transparency, authenticity and celebrating. The work we do is supported by volunteers who work together to create plarn products. Those products are sold to fund our education program and further our mission to keep thin plastics out of the ocean.
Each volunteer plays a vital role in the plarn process, without them, Plasticity wouldn’t be possible!
Our current Board has three Directors and is always open to adding more. If you feel passionate about our mission and would like to learn more, please reach out to admin@plastic-city.org
